About Jennie Shipman:
Jennifer Shipman is an illustrator/animator living in St. Louis, Missouri. She began work in advertising and with an original cartoon series for local newspapers about her cat “Helga”. After apprenticing with several animators, she became a free lance artist who produced custom scoreboard animations and specialty art for the St. Louis Cardinals and later provided extensive animations for several Cardinals sports videos, as well as video histories of the Detroit Tigers, UCLA Bruins and Kansas Jayhawks and The St. Louis Blues.
Jennifer and her husband, food writer Joe Bonwich, have raised five daughters who, along with the family’s many pets provide inspiration for Shipman’s ongoing works in illustration, murals and costuming.
